Bullsnake II - The Hunt
One morning when I went out to put up my flags, I noticed a bullsnake
in front of the house. So, I got the camera and took the pictures above and below.
I went back in the house to do some chores and happened to look out the front
window a few minutes later. Much to my surprise, the snake was trying to climb one of the
columns supporting the front porch roof. Our house has a tile roof and small birds nest under
the tiles. The snake was evidently trying to get to the nests to get a breakfast of
baby birds or bird eggs.

After several unsuccessful attempts to climb to the roof on the column, the snake
then tried another route. He climbed up on the park bench on our porch and tried to climb
the front windows.

After being unable to get to the roof via the front windows, the snake next tried
to climb up the trim around the front door.

The picure above, shot through the storm door, shows he made it a little over half way up the
door. After a few attemps, the snake finally gave up and went on his merry way.
All in all, it must have been a very frustrating morning for it.
