On a trip to the Grand Canyon July 22, we, of course, ran across a lot of friendly
Albert squirrels. Albert squirrels are unique to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon as
are the Kaibab squirels to the North Rim.
They will walk right up to people looking for food. Even though squirrels
are common, I can never resist taking pictures of critters in circumstances such as this.
At one overlook, a guy was squatting down taking a picture of a squirrel on a ledge
when another one came up to the water bottle he had put down on the ground by his
feet and attempted to get a drink out of it.
This squirrel was lying on its stomach looking over the edge, but moved just as I took its picture.
This one had found some food and was munching away on the edge of the canyon.
This one was looking for a handout.
This one was just too cute to avoid taking a picture of.
