This marmot was photographed at Gibbon Falls in Yellowstone National Park.
He was interested in the tourists at the overlook. He would lie on the rock, as he
is doing in the pictures here, and make trips back and forth to the retaining wall
to look longingly at the tourists hoping for a free handout. Luckily, they did
not give him, or a begging chipmunk, any food. He looked his cutest when flattened out
as in the picture below.
