I saw this Great Horned Owl on a hike in Salida Gulch near Lynx Lake, Prescott, AZ.
It is the first Great Horned Owl I have ever seen in the wild. This picture was taken
with a 12X optical zoom at a distance of perhaps 50 yards or so.

This closer look was made by cropping out the owl from the original photo. I shoot
the largest size photos which results in large files. However, that gives me more
latitude in modifying the pictures later.
